The Special Events Disc Jockey provides music and personality for all types of celebrations including weddings, school dances, class reunions, birthday parties and many more. These events happen primarily on Saturdays, Fridays and Sundays although other days are possible as well.

Therefore, the special events disc jockey is working on the weekend, a time where many people are attending these special events.

These days music is played mostly on a laptop utilizing special dj software.

Since in most cases we'll see everyone at this gathering only once, it's up to us to help make it a memorable event. We do this by having a complete general knowledge of a wide variety of music and by programming this music to ensure the majority of people are motivated to dance and enjoy.

• Maintains a comfortable knowledge of all popular music formats including: Pop, Urban, Country, Oldies, Swing, 80s' etc.
• Contacts clients to cover event details prior to arriving.
• Arrives early to set up and test equipment.
• Has a good driving record.
• Is comfortable using computers and other technology.
• Does not have a drug or alcohol problem.
• Is very comfortable with public speaking and on a microphone.
• Is well groomed and has some formal attire.
• Is professional and reliable.
• Is a leader and capable of making quick decisions.
• Works well with others.
• Enjoys meeting people.
• Is free to perform at events on the weekend.
